With the rise in terrorist activities and drug trafficking through international airports, the demand for enhanced security measures has grown significantly. Detection dogs have become a critical tool in assisting authorities in the identification of illegal substances, such as drugs and explosives.
In partnership with Dutch security and detection specialist K2 Europe Security, Van Loon K9 Security responds to this growing demand by offering Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD). These highly trained canines are expertly trained and certified to detect even the slightest trace of explosives, narcotics, and contraband, including substances hidden deep within cargo. As a certified provider registered with the Dutch Ministry of Justice, K2 Europe operates in full compliance with European legislation and security standards.

K-9 Detection Dogs deployed by Van Loon K9 Security are trained to detect targeted substances even when their odor is masked by other odors, when tightly sealed or deeply hidden. Typical targeted substances; Explosives, Narcotics, Fireworks, Currency, Bedbugs.
Each Allegianz K9 Detection Dog handler is educated and trained instantaneously with the K-9 they will be working with, in full compliance with Dutch and International Standards. Our education program is provided and conducted by our team of accredited & highly experienced instructors from the Netherlands. Allegianz K9 handlers and their K-9 partner are subject to continues training throughout their careers.

Certified by the European Union. The REST method (Remote Explosive Scent Tracing) is a highly effective technique for screening large volumes of freight for explosives. It is officially certified by the European Union.
Specifically designed to screen large volumes of cargo simultaneously, REST is an efficient and highly valued screening technique for large, vulnerable, and high-value shipments. By minimizing the risk of damage, REST does not require cargo to be unloaded and reloaded, ensuring a safe and fast process.
The REST method is executed in three steps:
1) Sample Collection
2) Filter Analysis
3) Issuance of the Security Certificate
Van Loon K9 Security offers airfreight senders, freight forwarders, and shipping agents a faster, more flexible, and cost-effective way to have their shipments checked. By screening airfreight for the presence of explosives, our dog handlers, together with their K9 partners, can efficiently manage and inspect large quantities of airfreight in a very short period.
